Results Day Collection

Full details of the times, dates and location for collecting results will be issued to each student prior to the start of the examination season.  The 2020 result release days for students are:

GCE – Thursday 13 August 2020

GCSE – Thursday 20 August 2020

· Students can nominate a third party to collect the results on their behalf.  A short letter of  authorisation must be provided for the Examinations Officer and handed in to the Examinations Office in advance.  Nominees must bring photo ID with them on the collection day. No results will be released without a letter and supporting ID.

· No results will be given out by telephone or email.

 · Results can be posted to students.  A stamped, self-addressed envelope must be given to the Examinations Officer before the end of the Summer Term.

Post results Day Collection

If students are unable to collect their result certificates on the results day, GCSE and GCE certificates will be securely held in the Examinations Office for collection at a later date. Please contact the Examinations Officer, Mrs S Mandal, to arrange an appointment.

  • Students collecting certificates personally will need to produce a photo ID.
  • If a family member/friend collects certificates on behalf of a student, he/she should have a letter of authorisation from the student, and will also need to produce a photo ID.
  • Certificates can be also be posted to students. Please notify the Examinations Office of the address to which you would like the certificates posted and supply a cheque for £5.00 made out to CCHSG.  On receipt of the cheque and address, the certificates will be posted to the same by recorded delivery.

Lost Certificates

It is important to store Examinations Certificates safely. They represent a valuable record of educational achievement which may be required by universities and prospective employers.

Awarding Bodies will not issue replacement certificates. They will only issue a letter certifying the results and a fee is charged for this service. The Awarding Body websites provide further information about how to obtain a letter confirming the grades received:

Review of Results

Students wishing to discuss whether to apply for a Review of Results (ROR), should see the relevant Head of Department.

Once you have been advised by the Head of Department/subject teacher/SLT, the application will be processed through the Examinations Office only.

Please note that it is very important to have student consent and necessary payment prior to making the application. Payment can be made by Parent pay/cash/cheque addressed to CCHSG. Please be mindful that once the application is made, the centre has no control over the outcome. The review process could result in a grade going up, going down or remaining unchanged. A full refund from the Awarding Body is only guaranteed if the overall grade goes up.
